Herobrine is a Minecraft legend first ., discovered back in 2010 when a player would post on a forum a story about his mysterious encounters with a being named Herobrine,
This story would soon turn into the legend of Herobrine- one of the most infamous and well-known storys throughout Minecraft history.
This infamous post would include a detailed story about the poster casually playing Minecraft until he would come across this foggy forest area where he would see something that would change minecraft forever, out in the fog there was a figure twith the default Minecraft steve skin in the distance with eyes that are completely whited out. He would have strange encounters like this many times throughout this story with the player finding structures like completely perfect pyramids, whole forests with all the leaves removed from all the trees and 2x2 tunnels randomly dug through his Minecraft world.
He would also have many other encounters with this mysterious figure in many different places.
The user also linked a screenshot from his game of this encounter which shows exactly what he was talking about. But strangely… his posts kept getting taken down over and over again until he would get a message from a user named “Herobrine” which simply stated the word “stop”-
The strange thing about this is that there wasn't a documented user named Herobrine on the forum at all with page 404ing when he tried to take a closer look.
He would soon get messages from other remembers of the community reporting similar encounters like 2x2 holes in the walls, bare trees, and sand pyramids as well as the mysterious figure.
The community would band together to finally uncover the full story of Herbrine- finding out that the Minecraft account “Herobrine” originated from Sweden, even saying that the user is Notch’s brother
For anyone who doesn't know, Notch is the creator of Minecraft, I made a video about him… description!
Well anyways,
The original player would soon get in contact with Notch, having a conversation with notch where he would allegedly say that he did have a brother who sadly passed- implying that his brother died and someone or something was still using the Herobrine account.
Herobrine's existence would be further proved later in a livestream by a user named Copeland which showed the player encountering Herobrine multiple times on a rather ugly texture pack, I wasn't able to find too much footage from the livestream, considering that it was over 10 years ago, but some footage has resurfaced over the years.
Many other users like your friend Jerald and many other antonyms users have told their own stories or encounters of Herobrine.
Ever more strange things would happen with Mojang (the studio that created minecraft) even admitting multiple times to Hero brine's existence stating in every update changelog even to this day “removed Herobrine” with even some of the devs reportadly saying that Herobrine is real.
This would even be furthered with Mojang including Herobrine in many of the promotional Minecon and Minecraft artwork over the years which has made millions of Minecraft players and even myself wonder… Is he real? Is this story real? And if not, what happened here?
Although it seems that there is a mountain of evidence in favor of Herobrine’s existence, I have purposely left out some, no, A LOT OF details for the sake of storytelling and there are in fact, many problems with this story.
First, This story could easily be faked with there being so little evidence for this happening besides a low-resolution screenshot and an old livestream that could easily be faked. If you were paying attention at all anyone with half a brain would notice that “Herobrine” in this live stream is just a retextured painting as well as the fact that the way herobrine is standing in this photo is very unnatural with it looking like the user simply just inserted a photo of the steve skin with white eyes into photoshop and just added some silly blur effects to with. There is absolutely no proof that this photo is legitimate at all, no chat logs, no other screenshots, no proof of the conversion with Notch, nothing.
You could easily do that… Of course, lack of evidence doesn't disprove this story of Herobrine- my friend Jerald has his own story of Herobrine where he was casually playing Minecraft when a silly little creature came up to him and teleported him to the Minecraft backrooms- level 47, the burger king level where he saw Herobrine eating the Minecraft whopper.
This situation is exactly why I have a couple of other points…
Notch does not have a brother. It's as simple as that. He doesn't have one and never has- he even denied the alleged conversation with the user saying that it’s fake and that herobrine is a hoax… on video!
Also, Minecraft’s code has been scraped by developers multiple times with there being absolutely no evidence of a mob named Herobrine or any word in the code that could possibly create the circumstances to allow this to happen, even then… who is smart enough to go into Minecraft’s original game file, add a mob as complex as Herobrine being able to create and break certain structures as well, without notch knowing, and with the bugged copy of Minecraft ending up being an official release!
Another thing, Minecraft multiplayer was added in August 2010, a couple of months AFTER this photo was taken making it impossible for a player with no name tag to have joined his world, without him knowing beforehand, and for some reason just decided to build a bunch of random structures well… because… NO REASON!
There is no possibility for this to happen besides cosmic background radiation flipping the perfect amount of the perfect bits on the micro transistors of the computer the user was playing to create the perfect conditions for this error to occur, which has a lower chance of happening than you spontaneously turning into a balloon.
Well… Anyways…
Remember Back when I said that Mojang developers said that Herobrine is real, well I didn't show you the about a billion tweets of Mojang developers saying that it's a joke or a hoax with the Mojang developers saying it was real, later admitting that it was a joke.
About the art made depicting Herobrine… again this is a JOKE played on unsuspecting Minecraft players to keep a dead creepypasta alive.
Finally, there is also a lot of controversy revolving around this topic with many conflicting stories being told. That kinda invalidates ALL of these stories.
These major holes in the story make it pretty clear that the entire thing was faked just for the memes…
{PRESENT DAY}
This creepypasta is still alive to this day with many videos songs and mods still being made about this mysterious figure- With hero brine still being a very popular topic on Google Trends.
If you’ve even been on YouTube kids, you will know what I’m talking about.
I honestly think that this creepypasta, although fake, really benefited Minecraft and its community as a whole although I do know that some of you… arent convinced and still believe that somehow, Herobrine is real.
So why not you go be stupid somewhere else?
I was going to do a section about entity 404, but that myth isn't nearly as big as Herobrine and is even more stupid, so if I can find any good ones, I'll link a video about him in the description.
missed anything in the comment section below…
